Ernie McIntyre – Letter 84

CARTE POSTALE
12/11/16

Dear Everybody.

Still in the same old spot & doing the same old job.  Am in receipt today of letter from Rothie dated 28th Sept. along with a few from Blighty but none from Kate.  Have not heard from her for some time now, I am afraid they are pretty busy over there just now.  At time of writing letter Charl had not left N.Z., I wonder what time he got away.  I wrote to him to Egypt a few days ago hoping it would catch him on his arrival there, now I suppose it will get there before him.  I noted what you had to say about the new next door neighbours re number of grown up men in the family.  The sooner conscription is applied to them the better.  I think we will need them out here yet.  Fancy Andrew McNeil coming, about up to him to, absolutely no ties in the world.  Heard a little more re transfer yesterday, & all is well with it, only the official machine moves slowly.  Had Hargest up to dinner with me last night.  Weather has been fine last 3 days, time too. Affect Brother E.S.McI.
