Dear Everybody,
Here we are, the three of us just sitting down to a good tea in Samsons’. Just as I finished the last sentence my fish arrived & I had to carry on. Well we have just come along to the Leviathan & the pen I picked up would not work so I just fell back on my we bit lead. I suppose you will come to the right conclusion, namely that we are off on Wed. It is because of the indefinite dates we have heard of that I have not written before. However this is Mon. night & I have to drop a note to all concerned so you can imagine how brief I will have to be. We have been packing up all afternoon & just before I left camp I heard that revellie was at three AM. I think it will take us all day Tues to get the boat loaded & perhaps some of Wed. Expect to leave port about 4. o’c. I think there will be some trouble in getting her out, she is the largest boat that has ever been into port, she will draw from thirty to 32 feet of water when loaded: must go on Wed. to catch spring tide. Well I must stop soon, as room is running short. I can assure you that I am feeling pretty well & horses like-wise. Hope you are all in such good form. Will when it is possible. Loving brother.
