Dear Mother,
After a month out of the trenches we are working our way back in again. Our mail has closed but the Y.M.C.A is taking in p.c’s so I just scribbling a line before we leave to let you know that we are all well. For a few days we will have a pretty lively spin but it will be short & sweet & you will know all about it before this reaches you. I will tell you all particulars later. At present there is no news. Min L is at Amiens. We didn’t get within about 3 miles of the town, but might go back through that department. Mark C, W Hume, Chris M, D Moffitt & Skipworth are all here & are all well.
