Trenches
16.3.17
Dear May,
Am posting today to a tin containing a few odds & ends in the souvenir line. The badges are pretty well all Scottish. The “In treare fest” buckles are Bavarian ones that I got down the Somme & the other buckle I believe is a French Chasseurs. The button with a blazing bomb is also French & the other two & the small round hat badge are huns. I would like to send a few other things in the way of driving bands & shells, nose caps etc but they won’t go through the post. I am also posting to Mr Bagrie a parcel containing Albert’s camera. He had to leave it behind when we

went into the trenches, & when we got back here I spoke to the officer about it & he said if I could get it he would let it go through all right so I am posting it today. I am also writing to them to let them know it is coming. News here is as scarce as ever and things are pretty stale. As far as I know all the district boys are all right. Chris & Mark at any rate are still very much alive. I think D Collins is in France but has not joined up yet.
Love to all
Len
